FAQ · Platform evaluation
Questions procurement and vendor-governance teams can use to test operating depth, commercial transparency, evidence, and provider comparability.
Test whether the platform can preserve asset identity, authority, evidence, economics, exceptions, and settlement across organizational boundaries. A long feature list is less useful if each stage creates a separate truth.
Define a common operating and evidence contract: identity fields, handoff requirements, erasure evidence, exception states, downstream outcomes, financial close, and executive reporting. Providers can retain different internal systems if the governed boundary stays consistent.
Recovery can matter, but it should be evaluated with asset mix, condition, geography, route eligibility, timing, processing cost, customer payout, and settlement logic. A percentage without denominator and method can be misleading.
Illustrative product interfaces and representative case studies should be clearly labeled. They can demonstrate decision structure but should not be treated as actual customer results unless independently substantiated.
Ask the provider or platform to walk one representative asset from discovery through custody, security, processing, recovery, sale, settlement, and final evidence, including at least one exception rather than only a clean path.
